The University Writing Course is a textbook for people whose native language is not English, but who are studying or intend to study at universities where English is the language of instruction. The book will be most useful for those who have already achieved level 6 on the IELTS exam or 550 points on the TOEFL exam, or slightly lower scores, but want to improve their skills in creating written statements for academic purposes. Subsequent chapters of the manual are devoted to various linguistic functions and many types of texts. Each chapter contains examples of authentic text forms, controlled exercises that develop writing skills, exercises that involve the independent creation of written statements, and a list of useful expressions and phrases. The publication also includes a key with proposed answers to the tasks.
